Perforated brake discs

Your car quits, but only if your car stops with special brake discs called drilled brake discs. Those ODPS discs have little holes all over them, to keep them cool in the heat of battle to stop them getting hot, when theyget really hot.

“Ventilated” brake discs are designed to absorb a staggering amount of heat without failing to slow your car. When you press the brake pedal, the brake pads clamp down on the brake discs to generate resistance, and it is this resistance that slows your car. If brake discs overheat, they can’t give you the friction needed to stop your car, leading to a reduction in the stop time for your vehicle. The holes in perforated brake discs, though, ensure that the discs can cool down rapidly and still work at their best.

The Science Behind Perforated Brake Discs

Blow-Through Perforated Brake Discs made from drilling a hole through the disc of the brake to allow air to pass through, so that it ensures the brake-disc will stay cool. As you drive, your car’s brake discs spin, and thebrake pads press against them to immediately create friction. It is this heat from where heat can be found if high Can, as per another ofJannes' scientist. Tiny holes cut in perforated coated brake discs permit some of that heat to get out and keep the ODPS discs (hopefully) operating at the correct temperature to provide maximum stopping power.
